Kudaibergenov Sarkyt Elekenovich is world-recognized scientist in the field of physical chemistry of polymers, Doctor of Chemical Sciences (1991), Professor (1994), Laureate of the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR in the field of science and technology (1987), winner of the AT Foundation “For Achievements in Science” (1995), Laureate of “Parasat” Prize as the most published and cited Kazakhstani author abroad (2010), Laureate of the K.I. Satpayev Prize “For the best scientific research in the field of natural sciences” (2019), awarded the breastplate of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan “For merits in the development of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (2012), awarded by the commemorative medal “5 years of the Scientific and Technical Center of KazTransOil JSC” (2003), as honorary professor of Semey Shakarim University awarded by the “Shakarim” medal “For services to the University” (2011), Awarded by the Anniversary medal “85 years of Satbayev University” (2019), “125th Anniversary of Kanysh Satbaev” (2024). He is the holder of the State Scientific Scholarship for scientists and specialists who have made outstanding contributions to the development of science and technology (2020). In 2022 the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan recognized him the “Best Scientist” for his significant contribution to the development of basic science.

According to publicly available database created by Stanford University (https://doi.org/10.17632/btchxktzyw.2.), Kudaibergenov S.E. has been involved into the list of top 2% world’s leading scientists, and according to the “Web of Science Clarivate Analytics” database he is a world leader in the field of polyampholytes. This is exemplified by his single-authored and written in English fundamental monographs and review articles “Polyampholytes in Advanced Polymer Science and Emerging Technologies” (2024, CRC Press, USA), “Polyampholytes: Synthesis, Characterization and Application” (2002, Kluwer Academic/Plenum Publishers,  USA), “Recent Advances in the Study of Synthetic Polyampholytes in Solutions” (1999, Springer, Germany), “Polyampholytes” (2008, John Wiley @ Sons, USA), “Polyampholytes: Past, Present, Perspectives” (2021, Kazakhstan).

His scientific interest covers the development and implementation of specialty polymers in oil industry, petrochemistry, catalysis, nanotechnology, biotechnology, medicine and environmental protection. His polymer flooding technology for oil recovery has successfully pilot tested 12 times at “Turgai Petroleum” JSC at the “Kumkol” oilfield.

Kudaibergenov S.E. has more than 500 publications, among them 23 monographs and textbooks written in Kazakh, Russian, Poland, English, 13 book chapters, 39 review articles,  168 papers published in English in peer reviewed International journals, 228 papers published in journals of the USSR, CIS countries, Russian Federation and Kazakhstan (Google Академия Sarkyt Kudaibergenov), he is owner of 44 author certificates, patents and innovation patents. his H-index according to the Scopus database is 26.

He was supervisor of 1 doctoral, 7 candidate and 5 PhD dissertations. He organized 8 International workshops, conferences and symposiums dedicated to specialty polymers with participation of scientists and specialists from near and far abroad.

Information about the scientific and pedagogical activities of S.E.
